Cycle Design originated in 1969 as a way for owner Doug Mulligan to support his dirt bike racing habit. He would sell and service dirt bikes during the week and then race on Sundays. The original dealership was located in a dirt-floored former fruit stand in Putney, Vermont. In the early seventies, Doug relocated the business to Phillipston, Massachusetts. By 1973, Cycle Design had it's first Suzuki Japanese franchise, that was 46 years ago! The dealership has developed significantly from its humble beginnings.
